Server 2012 R2 - Slow RDP login for Domain Users As the title suggests, this does not happen for local accounts or for console connections, ONLY domain users using RDP. This happens on physical and virtual machines.

Some PCs however never login, the welcome keeps spinning. The terminal server is currently running Windows 2003 Server, but I would bet it could be the same problem on 2008 or even Windows Server 2012. The problem is with printer caching, usually bloated drivers that get cached when a user logons. Occasionally, the logon process on a Remote Desktop Server might be very slow because an application is searching for fonts (usually caused by older applications). During the logon process, users can encounter a black screen for 1 to 20 minutes before the logon finally completes.
